quality productNov 21, 2009 quality product. very reliable. been using for 2+ years, no problems. just don't like the way it feels. i think they could've designed the mouse a lil better.
Great MouseNov 20, 2009 Even though I have owned Macintosh machines all my life and am a fanatic about Macs, I have never used their mouses. When my new MacBooks and iMacs I purchase from Amazon arrive at my California front door and I open the wonderful "Made in California" Apple packaging, the very first thing I do is grab the antiquated stone age engineered Apple mouse and throw it in my garage storage bin unopened in it's original packaging. I then go get this or another Microsoft mouse with right click capability.
I have found the inexpensive Microsoft USB wireless mouses, like this model, to be just great. They are so easy to use with laptops or desktops ... just throw the wireless plug/transmitter into the USB port and that's it. Now I have a "right click" great mouse that works on my knee, couch arm, mouse pad, coffee table, airplane fold-down tray, bed, etc.
Don't pay $50 or $60 bucks for a wireless mouse, unless you have special needs such as extended range. These less than $20 Microsoft mice work great when used near your machine, which is probably where 99% of us use them. I use AA rechargeables that last 2-3 months ... what can go wrong!
What took me so long?!!Nov 18, 2009 After about eight years of having a mouse on a leash to my notebooks, I finally decided to get this optical mouse.
In just seconds, I was thrilled with it.
It's smaller than my corded mouse and more ergonomic to hold and use.
I think it also tracks faster in less area of movement.
Top loading "under the hood" a single AA battery is quick and sure. I don't know the battery life it'll get but it's nice that it shuts off when the usb snaps back into the mouse. I'm not bothered that I'll probably forget to take out the usb unit once in awhile since I keep tons of AA batteries for the camera, flashlights, etc.
Great mouse!
